My KRS (Boys Scouts Camp) Part 1

Assalamu Alikum

The last three days I was camping in a jungle in Malaysia. The Camping was very fun. I learned many lessons from it, some of the lessons are: Being Patient, Respecting your parents, Trust your teachers, Teamwork, Tolerance, Depending on your self and not on other people and many more lessons that we can learn from this Camp.

Firstly from school I took a bus to the camping place. The trip took about 2 hours. When we got there we went to a hall to do be grouped then we put up our tents. After putting up the tents we had some activities in the hall. Then we ate lunch and after that we took a shower. The lessons we can learn from this paragraph are to be patient as the trip took 2TWO2 HOURS we had to be patient on the bus for 2TWO2 HOURS.

At night we had to be blindfolded and follow wherever the teacher pulls us when we opened our eyes we where in rows. After opening our eyes we thanked Allah the most Merciful for the blessing of sight that he gave us. After that the teacher said we will have to follow a line through the jungle and we will be sent in the jungle by pairs. I was leading the line three-quarters the time as my partner lead the rest. I was the first one to touch the ground at the bottom. When we got down we went to the hall then we ate. After eating we went to sleep. The lessons we can learn from this paragraph is to always be Thankful to Allah. This is also the first time for me to enter a jungle.

My Experience About Fasting In RAMADAN

Fasting in Ramadan is wajib (obligatory).

When I fast the whole day , I do not get very hungry. But, when I do not eat for 7 hours, I am starving. Subhanalah! Isn't that amazing? Subhanalah!

Fasting is even easier in Ramadan.

Haram Imam (Sheik Shuraim) Recites the Same Verses that I am Memorizing

Sheik Shuraim led Fajar Salah in the Holy Masjid in Makkah Today and he recited Surah Ibrahim. I am now memorizing Surah Ibrahim and he read the same verses that I am memorizing. I saw the live Salah from Makkah and I recognized that the verses that the Sheik was reciting were the same verses that I am memorizing. Subhannallah!!

I would like to share with you some Quran memorization tips, here are some:

1.To use the same Quran all the time.

2. To memorize the Quran in the morning.

3. To read and recite the Quran aloud when you are learning and reviewing.

4. To be away from things that you love while learning and reviewing so you can concentrate and not do it.

5. To look at a big or medium Quran while learning and reviewing, so you do not hurt your eyes.

6. To have light behind you when you are reading the Quran.

Today, I was thinking that I will learn 1 page of Surah Hud, but I learned 3 pages of Surah Hud Alhamdulillah . I learned 3 pages of Surah Hud because I listened to it many times before, so it is easy to learn now. It was also easy to learn because it is a story and stories are very easy for me to learn Alhamdulillah. So, how about we all share thoughts like this thought.

Alhamdulillah I finished Surah Yunus and I am starting Surah Hud. Surah Hud is one of my favorite Surahs. The stories in Surah Yunus are very nice and this Surah talks about Nabi Nuh صلى الله عليه وسلم.

I like Surah Hud because there are many stories and as I mentioned in the post "Why I love Surah Yusuf" I really like stories. Surah Hud is talking about the story of Nabi Hud صلى الله عليه و سلم, the story of Nabi Nuh صلى الله عليه و سلم, the story of Nabi Shua'ib عليه السلام, Nabi Salih عليه السلام, Nabi Ibrahim عليه السلام, Nabi Lut' عليه السلام, Nabi Musa صلى الله عليه وسلم.

I love stories because I like to learn and non-fiction stories are like learning for me. They help me study history because they help me understand the past better.

Why I love Surah Yusuf

The post before was talking about my favorite Surahs, but in this post I will be talking about "Why I love Surah Yusuf." I love Surah Yusuf because it is very emotional. Also, Surah Yusuf is a story and I really like stories. The story is about the prophet (Joseph) and in Arabic (Joseph) is Yusuf (صلى الله عليه و سلم peace be upon him). The story reminds me about why to be patient and brave. These are the reasons why I love Surah Yusuf.

My favorite surahs (Chapters)

Assalamu Alikum

The picture that is on the left is the picture of the Quran (The Holy book). My favorite Surahs (Chapters) are Surah (Chapter) Yusuf, Surah (Chapter) Hud, Surah (Chapter) Al-Kahf (The cave) and Surah (Chapter) Maryam. There are 114 Surahs (Chapters) in the Quran (The Holy Book) and I like all of them but there are certain ones that are my favorite and they are the ones mentioned above.

Don't Delay -- A Lesson from Surah Yunus

Verse 90 Surah Yunus:
وَجٰوَزۡنَا بِبَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرآءِيۡلَ الۡبَحۡرَ فَاَتۡبـَعَهُمۡ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَجُنُوۡدُهٗ بَغۡيًا وَّعَدۡوًا‌ؕ حَتّٰۤى اِذَاۤ اَدۡرَكَهُ الۡغَرَقُۙ قَالَ اٰمَنۡتُ اَنَّهٗ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا الَّذِىۡۤ اٰمَنَتۡ بِهٖ بَنُوۡۤا اِسۡرآءِيۡلَ وَ اَنَا مِنَ الۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ

Verse 90 Surah Yunus: And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with his hosts followed them in oppression and enmity, till when drowning overtook him, he said: "I believe that Lâ ilâha illa (Huwa): (none has the right to be worshipped but) He," in Whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am one of the Muslims (those who submit to Allâh's Will)."

I am now learning and memorizing Surah Yunus. I learned that the ayah that is above about Firawn when he was drowning. He said the shahadah when he was drowning. But, then the Angel Jibreel came and put sand in his mouth, so he could not say that. Because he was very bad before that and was the enemy of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him).

So, I learned the lesson that it is not good to delay things until the last minute.

For example, don't delay to say the shahadah until the last minute. Don't delay to repent for your bad deeds. Don't delay your prayers until the time is almost done. Don't delay to go hajj until your very old. Don't delay to make up your fast until the next Ramadan comes. And don't delay giving charity ... “The best of all charity is that you give it while you are healthy and desirous (of that money), hoping to become wealthy but fearing poverty. Don’t delay until you are about to breathe your last and then you say, ‘This is for ‘so and so’ and this is for ‘so and so’’, for indeed, it has already been written that ‘so and so’ would receive that.” (Abu Dawud, Sahih)

So how about we all work together to not delay things until the last minute.

This was my Hafiz ( tahfiz ) schedule: from 8:00AM-9:00AM, I learn a new page from the Quran and from 9:00AM-3:30PM, I am studying other subjects. Then, from 3:30PM-4:30PM*, I review Quran. I like to learn Quran and study, but sometimes I get tired or bored while studying the other subjects. I still I like the other subjects, but I never get bored doing the Quran. Allhamdulillah.

*I am thinking to move the time of my Quran reviewing to 9:00AM-10:00AM.

The trip to the wild life park

My school went to the Wild Life Park (Wild Animal Park). The first thing we saw were tigers. Then, we saw birds of many kinds. I will name you some: eagles, falcons, peacocks, parrots and ostriches. Then we saw crocodiles. Then, we saw a show. I put the snake around my neck (That snake was not poisonous). Parrots know how to add numbers the shower wrote 6 on a board and then he asked for another number so somebody said 9 so the problem was 6+9=? so there was a board and on the board was numbers so the parrot took the number 1 and hung it under the board and then took the number 5 and hung it so he was right 6+9=15. We saw the parrot riding a bicycle. We also saw the parrot walking on a rope and he pulled the string to the flag so the flag went up. We went fishing using net, but I did not catch any fish. I touched rabbits and fed them. I touched an iguana. Then we ate lunch. Then we went to school.

I was looking at the Hammond Atlas of the World (a very old CD ) and I saw some interesting things (e.g,: how far is it from Mecca to Malaysia). By the way, this is the first time I see Atlas. I will tell you some things I learned:

Mecca to Malaysia is 6738 kilometers/4187 miles, Mecca to California is 12550 kilometers/7799 miles, New York to Mecca is 12580 kilometers/7816 miles. The tallest mountain in Saudi Arabia is Jabal Sawda` at 3133 meters high and the tallest mountain in Malaysia is Gunung Kinabalu at 4101 meters high. How about we all share fun facts about geography.

GAZA — Part 1

I would like to share my thoughts about Gaza in order to help people understand the situation. In these entries, I will be "talking" about the suffering, how to be thankful to Allah and then how to help.

In Gaza, many people are suffering and sad. Gaza is being bombed, and houses are collapsing on people. Also, in Gaza, many people are being KILLED and their families are martyred. The Palestinians need a visa to move from town to town; so, it is hard to meet each other, to work and to go to the hospital. Imagine that you are there.

Allhamdulillah I have memorized about 13 juz` of the holy Quran. I learn it by listening to it until I can read it excellent and then I read every ayah 10 times and then I can recite it excellent.
